Why this matters
Photos of the grandchildren, of holidays, of people who are no longer here. For many people they are only on their phone. If it falls in the water or gets stolen, they are gone.
Others keep their photos with Google or Apple. That works, but the free space soon runs out. And your photos are then with an American company.
Two ways to do it
Online photo vault
Your photos go from your phone to a European photo service automatically. They are locked before they leave your phone. Nobody else can look at them, not even the company itself.

- I set it up on the phones of the whole family. Then you can share albums together.
Suitable for: most people. Little hassle, and it all happens by itself.
Photo vault at home
A small, quiet device in your home that holds all your photos. You look at them on your phone, tablet and TV, just like with Google Photos. You can even search for “beach” or for your grandson’s name.
- Every night an extra copy goes to a European company automatically. So even after a fire or a burglary, your photos are still safe somewhere else.
- I look after the device for you and check that the copies are working.
- Once a year I test that everything can be restored.
Suitable for: families with a great many photos and videos who do not want a monthly subscription per person.
A backup copy that has never been tested is not a backup copy. That is why I check it for you.
What you do not have to do
You do not have to install anything, choose anything or remember anything. You just take photos as you always do. The rest happens by itself.
I visit you at home anywhere in the province of Utrecht to set everything up, with no call-out charge. Usually that is on a Saturday.
