Privacy statement

How I handle your data. Short and as clear as possible.

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Who I am

I am Daan. Under the name Ik vraag het Daan I help people with email, passwords and their computer. I live and work in Amersfoort, the Netherlands. I am responsible for the data you give me, through this site or otherwise.

Do you have a question about your data? WhatsApp me on +31 6 16 13 18 89, or fill in the form under “Call me back”.

Which data I collect, and why

Callback request. When you fill in the “Call me back” form, I receive your name, your phone number and, if you add it, your question. I only use these to call you back and answer your question.

Requesting labels. Through the labels form I receive your email address, your name, a note if you add one, your choices and, if you send one, your address list. I use these to send you a sample and the price, and then to make the labels.

WhatsApp. When you send me a WhatsApp message, I see your phone number, your WhatsApp name and what you send me. I use this to reply and to help you.

Website statistics. I use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and which explanations help. This only runs fully after you click “Accept” in the bar at the bottom of the page. Only then does Google Analytics set cookies. Without your consent the site only sends a signal without cookies, from which I cannot tell who you are. I do not store IP addresses myself, and the advertising features of Google Analytics are switched off. The site remembers your choice in your own browser (storage named “meten”).

If you are a customer. I set up your services, such as email or a password vault, in your own name with the provider. I am only the administrator there. I do not keep any customer passwords. I do record, for each customer, which accounts and devices there are and where the recovery codes are kept, in an encrypted vault. That way I can help you if something goes wrong. For invoices I keep your name and address.

I do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

On what basis

  • Your consent: for Google Analytics. You can withdraw it at any time.
  • Performance of a contract: for your callback request, your labels request and the services you use. Without this data I cannot help you.
  • Legitimate interest: for answering your WhatsApp messages, and for keeping the site and the forms working and secure.
  • Legal obligation: for keeping invoices.

How long I keep data

  • Callback request and WhatsApp: if you do not become a customer, I delete your data within three months of our last contact.
  • One-off address list: I delete it after printing.
  • Recurring address list (for example for Christmas cards or member mailings): I keep it encrypted until you stop. Then I delete it.
  • Customer data: for as long as you are a customer. After that I delete it within three months, except for invoices.
  • Invoices: seven years, as required by Dutch law.
  • Google Analytics: the statistics are deleted after 14 months. The Google Analytics cookies stay in your browser for up to two years, unless you clear them earlier.

Who else processes your data

For a few parts I use other companies. They only process data on my behalf.

  • Google (Google Analytics): the website statistics, only after your consent. The notifications from the forms also arrive in a mailbox of mine at Google (Gmail). Google may process data outside Europe; this is covered by the arrangements approved by the European Commission.
  • WhatsApp (part of Meta): for messages you send me through WhatsApp.
  • Fly.io: the website itself runs on a Fly.io server in Amsterdam. I keep no log of visitors there.
  • Bunny Fonts (BunnyWay, Slovenia): the letters on this site come from their server. That server sees your IP address to do so. According to Bunny, they do not store it.
  • The forms (callback request and labels) run through n8n, on a server I manage myself. From there the emails go to me and, for a labels request, the confirmation goes to you.

I do not share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires me to.

Your rights

You may:

  • see which data I hold about you;
  • have anything that is wrong corrected;
  • have data I no longer need deleted;
  • object to the use of your data;
  • take your data to someone else;
  • withdraw your consent for Google Analytics. To do so, click “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page and choose “No thanks”.

Ask me via WhatsApp or via “Call me back”. I will respond within one month.

A complaint

Are you unhappy with how I handle your data? Please tell me first, and we will look for a solution together. You may also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.

Shall we get acquainted?

Leave your phone number and I will call you back. The first call is free and there is no obligation.

I help you remotely, anywhere in the Netherlands and in the Caribbean Netherlands. In the province of Utrecht I can also visit you at home, usually on a Saturday. Questions afterwards? With ongoing support you simply send me an email.
